DH and I are going to a wedding in Helensvale (Gold Coast) in November with both kids. Can anyone recommend anywhere they have stayed before. There is so much to choose from I am bamboozled...

we stayed at the Brittz (umm might have to check thats right) we loved it as it had an indoor pool as well and right across from the beach. We have stayed there twice and when we go again (hopefully in the net 2 years) we will probably stay there as well. Although i have nothing to compare it to. Also depends on budget - we shared with my parents so go a 3 bedroom apartment so limited in which properties had them.

heres a link to their website

Biarittz Apartments

I liked the area it was in - not too central (so not too busy) but central enough to most things

Hi, we have stayed at Island Beach Resort in Surfers (Broadbeach end). I love Broadbeach as you have Pacific Fair Shopping Centre as well as the Oasis Shopping Centre at that end. If you aren't get a hire car it is easy to get buses from PF. It is probably on the older side of accommodation down that end now - as they always seem to be popping up. It is also close to the beach and has an onsite pool, spa, bbq area. Go to wotif.com and you can view it or islandbeach.com.au but like you say there are plenty of places to stay - even ones that have more for the kids.

Go to www.sunmore.com.au

They were BRILLANT when we booked our accommodation for Britney Spears.

We have got a 3 bedroom apartment for $275 a night which is soooo cheap and right in the heart of Surfers. It was suppose to be $600 a night because its Schoolies week that week - but we managed to talk them down thank goodness!

They are an agent and have apartments in Chevron Towers - but if you go direct to Chevron its twice the price! So worked out really cheap, and they do deals depending on how long you are staying - so talk turkey with them!

EEEEk - just had a thought are you going this November?! And if so when - because thats when Schoolies is on in November.
TTC 6 years
IVF it is

10 eggs, 8 mature, 3 fertilised BFN
IVF/ICSI #2 = 22 eggs!
20 mature, 15 fertilised, 1 fresh transfer and 2 frosties
BFN
2 Frosties still in freezer thank god

We've just come back and stayed at the Sands Turtle Beach. This is a well known family property but I don't know if I would recommend with younger kids. There is a toddler pool and two other deeper pools plus a spa pool in one enclosed area so if you have a toddler who likes exploring I don't think you would relax because of the two deeper pools and the spa. It does have a great McDonalds like play area which was good.   I'd recommend Breakfree Diamond Beach as it as a great toddler pool (put it can be pricey)

We stayed here http://www.paradiseresort.com.au/ a couple of years ago. It's fantastic as there's a Kids Club and activities in the evenings by the pool. One of the nights we were there they put on a Polynesian dance show. Great place for kids and parents. It's also pretty close (walking distance) to central Surfers Paradise.
