Hi everyone! I had my boy on a waiting list at a local preschool for almost a year and a half only to be just told that they don't have any room for him. I stupidly didn't have him on any other lists (I had been led to believe there would be a space for him) and I realise I now face even more long waiting lists, but was hoping some Mums could recommend some wonderful and affordable preschools/playcentres that I could visit in the New Brighton/Burwood/Parklands area.
I would appreciate any suggestions as I am desperate!

My niece was in burwood ABC which is in tumara park and it was great, not sure about the cost though. A word of advice though, just keep at them for spaces, often if one just opens up they dont look at the waiting list and just take the next person that asks, this has happened sooo many times to me and friends. For example my friend went into preschool 4 weeks ago and was able to get her wee girl into the nursery straight away, a week later another friend of ours went in to the same preschool and wanted to put her wee girl in, same age and everything (coffee group friends) and was told no room! Plus when I have asked at my preschool they have often said oh Ive got a space coming up next week if you want it... well hello what about the people on the waiting list! I know the nursery at my preschool has some vacancies at the moment but its in redwood/belfast. what sort of hours are you looking for?

Hey thanks for that. Actually Ness is a really good friend of mine and it was that preschool that he was on waiting list so long for! I HOPE they still have him on the waiting list! I was actually annoyed with them for not contacting me sooner (I had to contact them) to let me know there would be no spaces. I have been going through the phonebook and looking at all places in my area so hopefully after a few phonecalls he may get on a few lists! Will check out ABC as it isn't far from me, so thanks! Yes there seems to be not much sense of order with waiting lists!!
