I have just come back from a lovely night out. A way back when things were getting on top of me a friend suggested some 'me time' and she even had a project for me. So I worked as a production assistant on a short film for a local production company, basically setting up scenes, checking continuity and being in charge of props, just doing as I was told. It also led to me doing the same for the 48hour film festival.
Anyway long story short, tonight was the premiere of our film, at the City Gallery Cinema in Wellington and it was a black tie affair with champagne reception (real champagne as the director is French).
We had a baby sitter for Fay who behaved perfectly so we know they will come back if we ask them.
And I am feeling nice and squiffy from 3 big gin and tonics (I spent 20 odd years building up my resistance to alcohol and I seem to have lost it completely. I got to wear my posh frock and new unsensible shoes.
Just thought I'd share

Thanks guys, hangover worn off now, I never used to get those either.
Unfortunately no photos as I managed to dodge all of them, I think, but was nice to wear my nice dress again. I may even wear my unsensible shoes to Palmie next month. It's nice to think that Neil and I can be in the same place without Fay without needing to worry

I vote for unsensible shoes to Palmy Now that would be a fun day out!! It must have been nice to be out with your DH for the night - just the two of you.

I was thinking that you were coming up to your first anniversary Michelle. Hope you guys have a great night out and that Zoe behaves nicely for her babysitter too

I love unsensible shoes.

I had a glass of wine the other night and felt hungover the next morning. What's it going to be like if I have more than one
