When my wee sis was born (she's 13 years younger than me) my ma and pa made my big sis and me her 'Godmothers'. We were all baptised Catholic (not that I am a practicing one). And I think Emma is right in the 'true' sense of the word godparents are there to guide them spiritually. But I see them now as people who will always 'look out' for their godchildren and therefore I think it doesn't matter how many Godparents you give your children, as long as they are special people in their lives (and yours too)

remember though, if you plan to have siblings for Jaxon, will they need 6 as well? Maybe you could ask some of them to be god parents for the next one if you real;ly do need to do a cull
