having a sleep while your children are asleep??

Both Andrew and Josh went down for a sleep and so I joined Andrew (he was in my bed) and now feel a little guilty for having a 2 hour sleep when really I could of been doing better things. I usually don't but for some reason I do today.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I always think...should I, shouldn't I. Should I seems to always win.

My boy does not sleep through at the mo so I still have a nap, I feel everything else can wait till we are both refreshed! Seems to get done so much easier if I am rested! Do it while you can!

Hey if you need the rest why not! If you've made sure the house is secured and all is well, why not! It's good for you to have some "you" time even if it's sleeping.

I love doing that! I lock the front door and sometimes sleep for a good 2 hours. I don't feel guilty, cause I can do the other stuff when the kids are awake, and anyway sleep makes me a nicer mummy But sometimes I feel embarrassed about it. Just because other people don't always understand. There's no way I'd tell my (sarcastic, and married with no kids) sister that I sleep like that about twice a week (more if I could, too!). And a host of other people as well

Definitely don't feel guilty about it! I only wish I had a chance to enjoy that kind of guilt

Nope, I just wish I DID sleep more when they are asleep! The other day I was working and suddenly came over really tired, went to lie down for a minute and woke up an hour and a half later. I haven't had a daytime nap like that in months, it was so good!

yes i feel guilty if i can sleep - well i did when jake had a daytime sleep. now I feel like i should've appreciated the time I had. This was after i had my run-in with my SIL and wheni sit down I constantly hear her voice in my head telling me off for relaxing when i should be washing windows or whatever. i wouldn't go by my reactions though - somehwat scarred.

Both DH and I went down for a sleep this afternoon while Ashlee was snoozing (only for my mum to ring *just* as I was about to nod off!!!) but we ended up sleeping for about an hour. Sure, the house is a mess, things need to be done, but we also needed that nap!!!

There's always tomorrow for washing... and dishes... and vacuuming...
