I had the same stitches as Sara. My incision healed really quickly as my MiL dosed my up to the eye balls with Arnica!

Toni do you find that the scar dimples? So the tummy really looks saggy? |
YES! I have the saggy overhang and I have stretch marks running through the scar so I look really HOT! It's still numb around the scar too, and I've been told that sometimes the feeling never comes back
I should actually dig out my pilates dvd and sort myself out! When I suck in the gut I actually look quite "normal"

Mine still has that numb thick feeling but not so much the thick feeling anymore since just recently.
Fortunately my overhang's not too bad, I've really noticed it after Krystiana cause my weight hasn't fallen off me as quick as it did after the older girls. I keep telling myself that's a good thing (that it's not going as quickly) but it's hard to believe it sometimes!

My scan is about 12-14cm, quite hard to measure with me big belly way, andalso the skin flap, saggy stuff. I had emergency c-section after 51+ hr of labour where i failed to progress. Had staples.

Because she was a big babe, stuck and basically O2 deprived they just went for it literally . I ended up with staples instead of suture as it would have taken forever to close me up. I had a GA and when she was born they had to stick a tube down her throat to give her O2. I am glad I didnt have to see that, but mum took photos. Now im left with a big scar and no feeling of the lower part of my abdomen

Ok I have another question. How low are you c/s badges of honour? Mine is really low, is about 14cms and I had staples. It is still numb around the area.
I had a c/s after 24 hrs of labour as my big 10lb8oz boy also has a very large head.

My scar is just under the pubic line of hair. About a cm down. I really cant complain she did a fantastic job. All my other surgery scars is sometimes itchy or no feeling. So I was worried but this is the only scar that I dont have weird things happening too.
Another reason why I better find a great dr for the next one. Hubby is joking and saying we must get her out here for a holiday.

Ummm I'm not sure how to explain where it sits Does all hair go up roughly the same amount? Sorry that's kinda TMI but mine's about 2cm below the top of the hair

Sorry ladies, I apologise for anyones overshare as it was me that asked the question. It was just that dr and nurses have all said that mine is fairly low, it is just 1cm up from my fufu(as Lu put it). It sometimes gets quite numb down there, and other times is sore. Will this last forever or will the numbness and pain eventually go away?

OK so this is me showing my ignorance, but I have found this topic interesting cos I always thought they cut your tummy open! As in your actual tummy, not as low as you have all been describing.
Well, I learn a new thing every day..

Mine's almost 13cms long and I had the same stitches as Sara and Toni. I think my scar is quite high up compared to some on here!

i dreaded having one that was belly button down...and made sure spec did not do that one!!!
Mine sits about 2 cm below the top of pubic hair (TMI) and is healing up quite nicely now but still has that thick bump under it. I also have a long appendectomy scar (had staples for that and never will again!!!) not far above it and the scar tissue from that and now this one are pushing on my bowel a little...that is painful at times so am hoping that goes real soon!
