Topic: Dribble Rash :( Posted: 22 March 2007 at 11:43am |
My poor boy has a rash under his chin in those lovely chubby chin folds from it constantly being wet (i think). He dribbles constantly, always has his fist in his mouth, yay for teething .. not ...
What can you put on to help clear the rash and prevent it?

Or calendula for babies. Although we use the adult one with Tyrell.
We leave a bib on Tyrell when he is full on teething, it seems to help....jsut a nice soft cotton one.

Have tried a little bit of Bepanthen, doesnt seem to do much but I havent been putting it on religiously as I wasnt sure if the skin under his chin would be too sensative for it ...
Ive had to go out and buy more bibs as we use heaps during a day ...
he's got sooo much dribble its quite alarming
his big sis is trying to teach him to spit. . darling girl

Both my babies are/were full on dribblers too. I bought some of those bandana bibs off trademe which are great for soaking it up and keeping the chest dry (also don't look as ugly as some!). I also slather a bit of aqueous cream under the chin and in the folds at every bib change, just to soothe and prevent the rash.
Hehehe at big sis teaching him to spit, kids are so charming eh?

We gotta major dribbler here too . Alize has rash on his cheeks as he sucks his thumb, fingers and fist which he constantly rubs on his cheeks as well lol. As for bibs we are going thru loads as well. I have been using aqueous on Alize dribble rash as he cant have bepanthen on his face.
