I am so annoyed
We have some big changed that have happened at work resulting in some team changes. I had made a request to stay with my team if possible and with one particular person due to the good relationship we had, the relationship I had with his clients, and he was really good for me to learn off providing lots of support. he also did not want to lose me as (in his words) I was very efficiant and provided a higher level of service he expected.
So on Monday we found out that he was losing most of his clients and picking up one of the biggest in the company and then yesterday he found out he was losing me. his response was to walk out of the office and he didn't come in today. Today I was informed of this change and discovered that I was the only one in my team to remain.
So I thought fine, I have worked with most of the clients before and the 2 seniors in my team (team structure is me a team leader, two people above me, and two support people below me) are nice enough. Now in each team there are 2 window seats one of which I have sat in since I joined the team, 1 of my bosses decided that I might as well stay where I was already, what was the point in moving, which I agreed with. So we had a meeting today with the office to show all the changes including a seating plan. the senior turns to me straight away to tell me that I am moving, and I replied as a joke just move the other senior, I was glared at. I then responded that he would need to check with my boss as I was told I was not to move.
So I gave a heads up to the boss and she responded that it was tough and they want to have as few people moving as possible which was fine by me, (not that I really mind moving).
So as I was leaving today he came up to me and started going on at me about how he had pulled rank and I had to move.
It is just a window seat for goodness sakes I fail to see what the big deal was. I like where I sit only because I have everything set up how I like it and don't really want to move everything.
This is not to mention any of the other colleagues that have thrown their toys out of the cot.
