Hi friends

Does anyone have the receipe for cauliflower soup? I have looked in the edmonds book and nothing. Does anyone mind sharing a family receipe with me or knows of where I can find one (not with foreign ingredients that I have to go looking for), I will be muched apprecative to you.

Hope the day is going well for you.

Cheers, Gaye

I have one... It might sound a bit weird as I am translating it from my recipe book straight out of the german but it is yummy!!

250g Cauliflower
1/2 L water
Salt
40g Butter
40g Flour
1 L liquid (made up of the water from cooking cauliflower and milk)
1 Egg yolk
1Tbsp Water
1 pinch nutmeg
Lemon juice

cut cauliflower in to small "branches". Cook Cauliflower in water (1st lot of water - 1/2 L) and salt for 10 minutes and leave to stand in water for an further 10 minutes after turning element off. Pour off water and save.
Heat butter, add flour and stir constantly until light yellow in colour. Add liquid (1L made up of milk and cauliflower water)whilst continuing to stir, bring to the boil and let simmer gently for 5 minutes.
Add egg yolk to the 1 Tbsp of water and add to the soup (which should not be boiling anymore!). Add nutmeg, salt and lemon juice to taste.
Add Cauliflower and let it warm up 5 - 10 minutes in already warm soup.
