thats just strange, but oh well, if they are happy, who are we to judge, just good luck when the child is 10 and tells her school friends/teacher, her dad gave birth to her!!

Poor guy the way people are reacting. I can't stand people who are so closeminded. |

He's not a man or a woman... pretty much it's a woman with a chest. How weird is that! I'd like to know who's sperm it was....??? It was 8 yrs since "his" last menstrual cycle...that bit just weirds me out LOL
But I can see it from their POV to an extent, like Nancy can't ever get pg so it's like a second chance for them.

Can you imagine trying to break all that news at once to the wife's family though? They didn't even know that 'he' wasn't born a 'he'!!

I imagine it would have had to have been donor sperm, since Thomas was born a biological woman, as was his wife.
And the article doesn't say anything about him having had his 'lower' external genitals reconstructed so I presume if his vagina is still intact that a normal birth would still be possible.

mayb his wife would wear one of those preggy bellys (like Bree on desperate housewives did) so they wouldnt have to tell her family, and maybe just hide him and his growing belly??

He had his breasts removed and is legally a man.. there's a photo here
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article3628860.ece

"Sterilisation is not a requirement for sex reassignment, so I decided to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy but kept my reproductive rights,”

"The couple bought donor vials from a cryogenic sperm bank and, facing resistance and prejudice from doctors, resorted to home insemination."

"The Advocate said it had confirmed the story with Mr Beatie's doctor."

But I saw on the news today, a neighbour reckons its a hoax cos they said they saw him on the street and he doesn't have a pregnant belly...

But how would it work if he is on hormone treatment to be a man? You can't just stop hormone treatment can you?
Wonder if the baby will be born healthy
