Topic: What does your baby eat? Posted: 09 July 2007 at 1:36pm |
What does your 10-12 month old eat?
I am finding that Ethan does not have a large variety in food so wondered what other babies around his age had.
He went from smooth pureed food to finger food - he will not eat anything lumpy.

at 12mths rhiannon was eating pretty much what we ate,
She loves hummus, crackers, cheese, capiscum, brocolli, luncheon and ham, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, spag bol, shepards pie, fish from fish n chip shop(without the batter) (althought she is almost 15mths now)
at 10mths she was eating toast, sandwiches, crackers, yoghurt, fresh fruit.
Does Ethan have many teeth, ive kinda noticed that some kiddies that dont have a lot of teeth dont like anything lumpy as its hard to chew.

He has 6 teeth with more coming through.
He is eating fruit and babyrice (9 month one) for breakfast, sandwich/cruskit with marmite and a yoghurt and then mince and vege muffins for dinner. I am finding it hard thinking of what else to give him.

We're in the same boat with Alyssa...she STILL won't eat lumpy food but will eat some finger foods ok, but it seems very limited... She has 8 teeth but doesn't make the most of them for chewing, just for smiling

Erin eats pretty much what Kazzle's Rhiannon eats, although at dinner time if I am feeling lazy I will give her one of the Watties 'Little Kids' meals from a tin and she is fine with that (ie: instead of sharing our dinner).

IMO if they can eat crackers and muffins but are not eating lumpy mashed food, then they are just being fussy - cause it seems they can certainly eat "lumps". Have you tried watering down the lumpy mashed food so it's a bit smoother?
