There was a bit of hail a little while ago and it sounded like rocks being thrown at my house! I went outside to pick them up to show DH and thought I'd take a pic.. Sure, they're not the biggest hailstones in the world but not bad by Auckland standards..

Wow - we had a hailstorm here a wee while ago and they were about that size too - makes a heck of a noise doesn't it. And makes you soo glad your not stuck out in it walking somewhere.

My boss rain outside during it and caught some then proceeded to throw them at us girls! Slightly cold they were. They were biggies.

I was at school (opposite Pepsi's house!) and the kids were loving it!!! There was no way they were going to sit at their tables and do their work, all faces were glued to the windows!

A brave teacher aide went out and collected some for the kids and they just loved it!

Well it was holely hailstones at our house. They made holes in our clearlite over our deck... thats where I dry my washing so I'm not amused. Luckily it's all covered by insurance but now we have to wait for the claim to go through.
