Why is it bad to reuse pump water bottles?! That's a new one. I was aware of not using the big bottles in the car as they act as a magnifying glass and can burn the upholstery.

Liam has a cup of diluted Barker's blackcurrant juice for breakfast & then it's water for the rest of the day. I always try to remember to brush his teeth after breakfast. I like the idea of him getting a bit of Vit C.

No fizzy drinks in this house though. I'm sure it'll help that DH & I don't drink them. I remember having Sprite at my Grandparents house when I was young & it was a huge treat.

Fleur, I think it's something to do with the fact that bacteria can grow in the plastic bottles - or it could just be a cunning ploy from the drink companies to get us to buy more water...

Because of the chemicals in the plastic, they can leach out into the water if you reuse them. Is better to buy one of the sports bottles that are designed to be re-used.

They reckon that estrogen from the plastic can leech into the water but only if the bottle is damaged or over-heated. I re-use mine all the time but do buy a new one every few weeks or so.
