    Posted: 03 March 2007 at 9:23am
Well this week was the first week back at Uni for me, and man was it hard getting back into the swing of things. Because we live 40mins away from Hamilton now, I have to get up at 5.30am to get myself ready, pack everyones packs and make everyones lunches, then have Xanda at creche by 8am and me on the road to make sure I make it to Uni on time for 9am lectures.

The change in routine was starting to get better until Wednesday. Xanda went to creche as normal, DP picked him up at 4pm and brought him home, he ate normal dinner of vegies, had a bath and in bed by 7pm. Well at 10.30pm I was in bed and just heard him start to scream, went in to check on him, and the smell was so overpowering I was just about sick myself. He had vomited all through his bed, had to wake DP up to come and deal with it as I do not have a very good stomach for those sorts of things. Within the next 10mins he had been sick 3 times, so I gave the Healthline a call and they said to just monitor his liquid intake to make sure he did not become dehydrated but he should be fine to go back to bed. Everytime I put him down in bed he was sick, 6 changes of sheets and pjs we went through as everytime I thought he had finished and was okay I put him back to bed. In the end we kept him up for a little while, and by this time he was dryretching a lot and struggling to breath. After 1/2hr of this it subsided so I put him to bed again, this time in portacot as mattress in his cot was soaked and stunk. By this time it was 2.30am, I crawled back into my bed, and went straight to sleep.

Xanda woke at 9am the next morning and I tried him on a piece of dry toast, and he couldn't even keep that down, so water diet it was. He was cuddly all day, so in between vomitting him and I just lay together on the couch watching t.v. Thursday night was much of a repeat of Wed night. Yesterday morning had to wake him up at 10am, coz didn't want him to sleep all day and not at might, but he slept most of the day anyway but seemed better. That was until we got to the supermarket yesterday afternoon and he had a poosplosion in middle of supermarket. I picked him up and just walked out. He would not eat any dinner last night, so went to bed at normal time of 7pm on pretty much an empty stomach.

#am this morning I woke up thinking the kitten had gone the toilet in my bedroom because it stunk, so woke up DP and asked him to look for the mess the kitten had supposedly left. While he was doing that I went and checked on Xanda, and talk about poo everywhere, he was sound asleep but covered in it as was all of his bedding, so woke him up to wash him and change him, had to get DP to do this as I was dryretching and couldn't handle it. Moved his portacot into my bedroom because his stunk, and would he go to sleep, NO!! So we have been awake since 3am this morning and I feel like my eyes are going to pop out of there sockets. He has just gone back down to sleep but is in my room so I don't want to risk going in there to sleep and waking him up, might have to nap on the couch.

Anyway if you are still reading this, sorry for my long ramble.

OOOOHHHHHHMG You poor darling, you must feel like absolute crap, we have only had a few bad nights/days (touches the closest lump of wood around) with the girls but nothing what you have just gone thru. I hope Xander gets better soon so you can get back to some routine and some well deserved sleep. Thank god for your DP helping with the clean up, he deserves a pat on the back and a big hug also. Hope you and DP don't pick up whatever Xander has. All the best for a speedy recovery!!

Hugs! I hope wee Xanda is managing to 'contain' his feeds a bit better now! Nothing worse than multiple bed changes in the middle of the night when all you want to do is curl up in bed...

Thank you ladies for all your kind words, but the weekend was no better.

Wouldn't ya know it, but Saturday saw all of us sick, I could hardly drag myself out of bed, and when I did spent most of the time on the toilet, leaving DP to deal with Xanda, meaning last nite when I was finally feeling a little better DP comes down with it pretty bad. He was feeling better this morning though so has gone off to work. I have booked Xanda in for a dr's appt seeming as he has diarhoea for 3 days now.
