Topic: Coming on 25 Posted: 03 March 2007 at 9:45pm |
There seems to be a whole heap of us turning 25 this year and since I'm one of the youngest (November), I want to know what you're all doing for your 25th's! Last year I did nothing and it was so very boring and a bit disappointing, but I haven't a clue what to do for a 25th. What are your plans?

Its mine next Friday. Nothing planned for definite, but hubby asked if I wanted to go out for dinner and am meant to be lunching with a friend. Also just been invited to a hens night and have a badminton committee (yeah geek I know!) start of season BBQ! Too much to choose from! I would love to have the day to go winter clothes shopping but got no $$ for that. Am also working Sat and Sun so not doing anything too outrageous on Fri night.

Mine was last year. I was pregnant and did nothing. We had dinner (me, DH and Andrew) and Andrew (well DH) made me a cake (as Andrew loves blowing out the candles) and that was it. Boring I know but I wasn't in to anything last year due to being pregnant when I didn't want to be.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

OMG 25 - that was a WHILE back...but i still remember..just...
I was in states at time so had a birthday in summer for first time in my life, mines in July. We got given a beachhouse for weekend by one of our bosses to go party at, drove down, i drank waaay too much tequila all weekend, danced my butt off, played beach volley ball at some beach club bar that night, and went to beach during day and while swimming saw a pod of dolphins off shore...will never forget that one.
wow it seems a lifetime ago tho...

he he, was my 25th yesterday, the kids woke up in a crap crap mood and made my day hell, mum came at 5pm to look after them, we went out to aquaba for dinner then grab some icecreams from the supermarket and went for a drive up to look at palmy from up at lamb-chop.. (not pork chops, lamp-chops.. am sure some people must know where that is) used to go up there and look at the city lights pre-kiddy times - so we sat up there eating our chocy trumpets. then went to a posh hotel room for the night and sat in the spa eating choccy and lollies, watching sky movies. he he. Still woke up at 7am this morning though! was nice to just relax a little. was a bit expensive though.

Sounds lovely, lamb chop I take it is the rather overgrown lookout not too far from piggy chops?

I turned 25 last year and we were busy moving here. We actually just landed in Singapore and I was so tired from the flight. I never even got cake on my birthday.

Oh my - I feel very old!! I turned 25 almost 8 years ago!! And unfortunately, due to the dodgy nature of my lifestyle back then (I was living in London.....) I can't publicly reveal the nature of my celebrations..... but it was one of the best birthday celebrations I've ever had If the term C&C means anything to anyone........

I too was in London for my 25th. We had a "School Disco" themed party where we all dressed up in school uniforms. My lovely flatmates had all the yummy kids party food for us (cocktail sausages, cheese & pineapple hedgehogs, fairy bread!).
It was heaps of fun. But then the day after wasn't!!!!
I've got my 30th this year, but I think with a new born I'll just settle for a flashy dinner with hubby!
