dont know about ch/ch but when i had a lot of rubbish to move frm mums house it worked out cheaper to take the rubish to the tip outselves. even factoring in the cost of hiring a trailer.

and do you have those carpet cleaning things you do at home in some of the local supermarkets. they have one in new world here you can hire. might be your best bet to clean the carpets.

We used A1 Carpet cleaning a few years ago I think they do CHCH as well, was $60 for our lounge/dining which is pretty huge

With the skips it pays to ring around and ask, some will take garden waste and some won't so depends what you are after, and yep sometimes we just hire a trailer and pay the dumping fee cos it works out cheaper, seems to depend how much you have and what it is.

We have used www.bookabin.co.nz 3 times now and they are great,

They search for the best price skip available through their suppliers and you can book it online which makes it easy.
