Topic: We Have a house YAY Posted: 16 April 2007 at 8:31am |
I feel like I am always putting negative posts on here so here is a positive one.
After much angst we decided to seriously look for a new house as some of you know our current rental propery is up for sale. Anyway we went and looked at some the other week and they were all dives and we were slightly depressed. SO on Saturday we got the paper and there weren't many in there we went to one and it was lovely so we applied for that one, then we went to another one which was not that flash but the lady from simes told us about another one that she had just got the day before. We went to have a look and the landlord was there so he showed us around. To cut an even longer story short he liked us so much he cut the bond by a week and offered us the place if we wanted it.
It is such a nice place only 6 years old new garden the kids will actually have lawn to play on and it is extremely well fenced YAY YAY YAY. And he seems like a really nice guy.
So big freak out we move in two weeks we have so much to do but it is soooo exciting.
The only downer on the whole thing was we rang to give our two weeks notice and were reminded that four years ago we signed a form stating we would give three weeks. So we will have to pay two rents that week. And yes I have seriously considered scraping all the paint off the walls that we did for them!!! They can go and BITE ME!!!
Even that can't bring me down however as we have a new house!!!

thanks I am freaking out about all the packing but figure it's as good a time as any to get rid of some of the things we just don't use anymore.
While I'm here does anyone have any advice on how to make the move smoother for Jayden and Abigail? Jaybee was a wee babe when we moved in here and Abby was born while we were here, do kids fret about changes like that? They are going to go to a friends house while we are moving and I'm a little worried about how they will react (more so abby as she is so young), when we pick them up and go to a different house! Hmmm maybe we should bring them back here after we have moved everything.

Wow, that's awesome Vick! So blessing in disguise huh? You get to have fab new landlords and a nicer house! Well done
Just make sure you enlist all the help you can get for moving... moving sucks.

Tell me about it, We have roped in Troy's best mate and My dad and his partner, who both have utes so that should help. The good thing is it's quite literally just around the corner so not too much traveling!
And the good thing is my sister is moving the same weekend and we have a legitimate reasons for not helping. (we only moved her a month ago!)

Can you take them around to the new house first before you move. Show them their rooms? Thats what we did with our girls. And we saved putting up their posters etc until they were there to tell us where they wanted them.
