Topic: Hair loss !! Posted: 28 October 2006 at 5:05pm |
In the back of my mind somewhere I know that this has been discussed before, and might be a common post-pregnancy thing... but has anyone else found their hair is falling out *EVERYWHERE* ?? I'm moulting worse than our cats at the moment, and it's getting into everything - no matter whether I pin it back or not. I realise that the longer I let my hair get the more it might be prone to shedding a bit, but this is a lot more than I would have thought was normal. Just looking for a bit of reassurance I suppose !

yep its normal. You dont really loose hair while your pregnant. So afterwards everything that would have fallen out during that 9 month period does. Dont worry you wont go bald.

Mine did with Maya, it was something shocking, but it hasn't started this time - yet! Am off for my first haircut in 9 mths on Tues, I hope the hairdresser doesn't die of shock!

I lost crap loads of hair after having Han... still am actually.
The season might also have something to do with it...? Coming into summer. (Well, so the theory goes, weather tells a different story!)

Especially today's weather !! But yeah, wouldn't be surprised if the weather on warmer days has something to do with it as well. My hairbrush looks absolutely shocking at the moment too, really need to do something about cleaning it.

Mines falling out in massive clumps - I have bald spots, and my long blonde locks are now permanently tied in a (very thin looking) ponytail. It's hideous I was going to get my hair cut short and coloured, but my hairdresser advised me to wait til it's stopped falling out, or it could possibly make it worse.
