What's in your typical weekend? I'm looking for ideas! Now that I'm a working ma and DH is doing the housework, I get to the weekend and I'm bored but have heaps of energy (yay for energy!) and don't know what to do with myself! Today our house is looking VERY clean

I think I'm knackered right now actually Stacey LOL I've only missed the study and the mopping but I reckon that can wait til next weekend.

The older two girls went down for a sleep at 11.45am. They were sooo tired but they've been mucking around for AGES and are STILL AWAKE!! Their grandparents (my ILs) are coming to visit at 3pm but at this rate the kids will still be in bed LOL!

Usually, we try and go for a walk around when we live, and go for a sunday drive (something that i thought was totally pointless when i was a kid but I now see the wisdom of it - bore the kids to sleep!)

We try and get out each day at some time so that the kids aren't inside all weekend but also give the girls time to play for themselves as they tend to be in daycare so don't get too much "free play" time with their own toys.

Mornings they have free play in between dressing/brekkie/hairdone/teeth & face etc, once both of us are up and showered etc (one gets up usuallly each day, the other sleeps in till the kids are sorted) once that's done we go out, usually to the park, we'll get anything in town we need, sometimes grab lunch if the kids are lucky, lol.

then home, kids to bed, we do a few things like folding washing etc, and i sometimes nap, or sew or vege on here - like i am now. while the kids are having afternoon tea, I'll vaccum etc.

then its activiy of some sort together - this afternoon i finally decided that the half a dozen random socks that have circulated through the wash a million times.. will be turned into sock puppets for our activity.

or we go for walks, let the girls go n their bikes, or just opent he outside and let the girls play on the slide tc, usually we spend the 1st day of the weekend doing a bit of a clean up in between times while the girls are busy.
