Topic: my baby grunts and pushes in her sleep Posted: 21 September 2009 at 4:26pm |
granted shes had issues with constipation but since we sorted this, shes still does i. i went for a nap wih her earlier and had to get up cos she kep waking me with her grunts and growls. keeps both daddy and i up sometimes at night, no not keeps us up but we do drift in and out of sleep cos of them. healthline recon is can be normal, havent spoken to midwife, i have a team of 4 and someimes, i will admit i get tired of playing ''who will i get today'', i dont recall this happening with my son, however that was 10 yrs ago so i may have forgotten - anyone elses bubs do this? shes 2 weeks old today.

I intended to sleep in same room as daughter and by the second night hubby told me to put her in her own room as she kept me awake all night with her grunting and carrying on - she kinda does this little howly thing too like she is dreaming LOL

Yes I think it is quite normal for a newborn to grunt in their sleep. If they aren't waking in pain it should be okay :)

Yes my DS used to grunt in his sleep when he was a newborn! Drove me crazy while he was in the same room as us! He only did after an early morning feed, like about 4am.
He seemed to grow out of it quite quickly.
