DH's 30th is next week. He doesn't want a party so I'm not going to throw him one but we will probably go out for it.

I got him a trial flight in a helicopter which cost like $250

I don't need to get him anything else do I?!

I'd agree that the flight will be enough. What a cool cool present. I'm sure your DH will love it (he has an interest in aviation doesn't he? or was that someone else ). A card would be nice & you could bake him a cake if he'd like that.

He will so love you for that present. Maybe get some hand or footprints of Daniel put on canvas for him to have in his room (where his computer is at the moment) or at work.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Yeah he's an aviation freak. He would be a pilot if his eyesight allowed it. He's been in a plane (to fly) but not a helicopter so I thought that was a good idea.

I don't think I'll bake a cake, he will eat one piece and not want the rest leaving it within my reach which ain't cool. I might just do the card thing.

Stick with that and if you really feel the need to do something else, cook his favourite dinner that night. I was gonna suggest a bottle of wine with dinner but I guess it depends on your personal preferences and where you might be at in your TTC cycle?

hehe me cooking his fav meal would be a total disaster. I suck at cooking meat (because I don't eat it, I don't know what tastes good). And he loves curries, and he can't even make the ones he likes properly so I have no hope because I hate them so I wouldn't be taste testing it!

That's a wonderful present, apart from a nice card you don't need to give him anything else.
I think as you get older it really is the thought that counts.
