Topic: login issue question Posted: 18 November 2009 at 7:39am |
Since i signed up for ob max about 1.5wks ago, it seems every 2nd-3rd time i come onto ob i need to sign in.
I have clicked the box that says "always log me in"
Im not sure if this problem is my end or not and either way i dont know how to fix it, but its damned annoying.

It has been happening to me alot lately as well and I haven't signed up for OB Max so assume it has nothing to do with that. Not sure what the answer is, but yes it is annoying

I'd never heard of OB Max either but I occassionally find that I have to log in every time I visit. It seems to come randomly but also corrects itself after a while even though I don't do anything different.

Mine has always done that, for months and months I'm just so use to it now, I've never stayed logged in, I have to log on every time even though its permanently ticked to stay logged on

I don't have OB max but once not only was I logged out but I couldn't log back in! Or rather, I'd show as logged in on the home page but then on the forums it would do the whole "Welcome Guest!" thing... So annoying. It lasted three or four days before it fixed itself somehow

If I go to the home page and then click on forums I'll be logged in from last time. If I go straight to ohbaby.co.nz/forum I won't be logged in.

summerlamb, I've always had that issue too.
Now even from the home page, then to forum I'm logged out if I've closed the browser beforehand. it's a right PITA because I've never had to look and now I go to post something and have to log in.

Hmmm, it does sound like either a cookies issue, or a permissions issue - to start with, try clearing your computer's cookies. If you don't know how to do this, PM me for instructions.
If that doesn't solve the problem, check your security settings/permissions. Sometimes you can have it set so that it doesn't store information, so you need to untick the box. Again, if you need more help, PM me .

I found I was having issues on my work PC (at home was fine). I would log in OK, click forums and it would say 'welcome guest'. I cleared out my cookies and it's been fine since.
If I shut down the laptop at home I find I have to login to OB the next time. It happens on FB too so assume it's a permission thing on our laptop.
