Hey there ladies, long time since I last posted anything really. I am just needing some help and advice.. kinda looking for anyone who has gone thru this.

Just before I had the M/C about nearly 3 years ago now, I had begun to have irregular cycles, between 25 to 40 days, after the M/C, it kinda settled back down a little but still not terribly predictable.

So around the end of last year, it started back up again, with the time around the wedding being 3 full months with no AF (I put it down to wedding stress), however it has carried on and this year has been so much worse. Sometimes having Af 2 times within 2 weeks, and now was last around end of Sept, so is kinda coming up to 3 months again. Am seriously sick of it, I get flushes, really bad hot flushes, used to be just at work originally before the M/C, but now it's most places, wake up with hot sweats etc.

I am waiting for test results to see what's happening with hormones etc as i finally was fed up with not knowing what the heck is going on with me

Has anyone else had this happen - or going through this right now? I am fed up, and with my moods being soooo different in the long times between AF, I am wondering if this has maybe been the cause of all the other problems previously because in the times between, I am such a different person, happier, calmer, anxiety is zilch. I am starting to think that the problem with my melt down a couple of years back, actually may have stemmed from a medical problem to do with hormones etc that started way back before #3.

ARGHARGHARGH. Stupid female stuff, soooo annoying.

(made ven nicer by my mum suggesting it was menopause because apparently all the ladies in my family go through it early... not at 27 though surely!!)

Help?
Janine and her 2 cool chicks, Paris & Ayja

My Mum is going through this ATM, she went blind this year and was on a lot of steriods. (We don't know if this has anything to do with it)

She has hot flushes, rashes, no period or sometimes periods that last for two weeks. She went to the doc and they told her it could be early menopause (she's only 45)

Sorry that is probably not helpful at all

The problem is self diagnosing, leave it up to your doctor as it could be a number of things & not necessarily menopause. Could be a thyroid issue or a number of things that can be easily put right.

Keep on at the Dr till you are satisfied.

Stressing & thinking the worst will not help you & may make things worst.

Hope you get it figured out chick, it does sound at first glance like the start of menopause (my mum started at 31 and was complete by 38) but the stats for early menopause are like 3% so unlikely.

Like Jazzy said could be a thryroid problem.

Hugs!

Keep on at the doc to you get some answers. Though in the meantime you could try taking Vitex. It helps with pms and hormones e.t.c.

Hope you get some answers soon.

If you can afford to go and see Dr Wilde at Aorangi Specialist Centre (inside the hospital), he is wonderful and will def be able to help you.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

oh sweet, that sounds rough, from my experience in pharmacy, this could be loads of different things, and for sure some are pretty scary, but rather than think the worse get the tests done, hopefully they wont take too long, and then just take it from there.

Evening primrose could help even out your moods in the meantime, PMT and the like will drive you to your wits end if nothing else Im sure.

I have PCOS and it was pretty bad for a while, but actually going on the pill for a bit sorted me out, but best to get those tests done first

Good luck x

PS your girls are just gorgeous!!

*hugs*

Been going through similar things this last year, and after getting dicked round by my GP (who thought a 10kg weight gain in just over a month was just me being a lard ass) I paid to see an OBGYN and got diagnosed (pretty quickly, too) with PCOS.
If you can afford it, even just for peace of mind, pay to see an OBGYN and get all the right tests, soemtimes GP's can be a bit hit and miss...
The Honest Un PC Parent of 2, usually stuck in the naughty corner! :P
