So the girls are 15 months now and since the weather is getting so much warmer I've decided it's time to ditch the gogobags. Tonights the first night and I'm a little apprehensive Has anyone got any tips? I've just popped them down and already Hazel is throwing a fit. I've just pulled the blankets right back so that once they are sleep I can just pull them over the girls. I tried putting them under the blankets but they weren't having any of that! I get the feeling this is going to be a long night

I hope it goes smoothly for you Lisa.

I don't really have any advice as when we removed the sleeping bags, they were already wriggling out of them before going to sleep.

Hmmm it was high summer when Issy came out of her's so we didnt have a problem .. she never stayed under the blankets though.

Do they use them for daysleeps too? If so, maybe you could wean day ones first?

We stopped using grobags when he started getting out of them and getting himself into a state with legs through bars etc.

I was worried about him getting cold so tucked a duvet into the cot but he would only sleep on the portion of the cot without the duvet. So I got rid of the duvet and left the heater on his room. He sleeps with no covers and sleeps through the night. I figure if he is cold he will wake up.

The only thing I can suggest is removing the bags gradually. Maybe don't use them for the daytime nap but keep them for the night until they get used to being without them.

Hope last night wasn't too long for you

Haha they didn't notice at all! I was shocked I cranked up the heater just in case and I went in twice before 9pm to put the covers over them in case they were cold but when I got them up this morning they were both asleep on top of the covers bums in the air lol. Oh well I guess I didn't need to worry after all. Have put the bags on Trademe. I figure if I sell them quick then if we do relapse and have a bad night I won't be tempted to go backwards. Now that I've started I intend to see it through Wish me luck!

Not like you can really cut the gogo bags in two

Awesome that they had a good night.

It's taken my girls a whole month to realise the awesomeness of snuggling under a duvet

My sisters daughter has always slept under covers just fine. I hope H & E get the hang of it but some kids just get used to sleeping on top of blankets it seems. Oh well as long as they sleep I couldn't give a toss how they do it
