Does anyone know if I can do this. At this stage we are not sure if I will have the baby in Saudi or NZ so I was thinking just in case I do want to have it in NZ should I book a Midwife now and explain the situation?

Also, how do you book a Midwife?

As far as I know you just give them a ring and explain things, and then they tell you whether or not they can take you on in relation to your EDD.

My mum rang my midwfie for me and made appointments. I gave her my stats by email everytime i went to the doctor in Japan (second time i never even went!) and then continued appointments when i arrived back. it was no problemn for her. she is in Palmerston North if you happen to be planning to give birth there

If you're not sure where you'll be living, you should book someone over here 'just in case' OR you could just be attended by hospital midwives, I'm not sure how that works tho.

If you're not sure whether you'll be in NZ or not, does that also mean you don't know what city in NZ?

I will definitely be in Auckland but just not sure what area. If we all come back at the same time we will move back into our house in Botany, or else I will stay with either my Mum in Te Atatu or my sister in Ellerslie.

Can anyone recommend a Midwife in any of these areas?

We are just on the Ellerslie border, and I am using Pregnancy Care Midwives in Glen Innes, so they serve through to Botany, I think any of the midwiives they have would be awesome, though I am with Hilary Eason myself. I do think they fill up pretty fast though as they have a great reputation.
