I like the baby harmony inserts that have the hemp inserted into the microfibre insert - very trim! |

I just ordered some of those, am keen to see how they go.
I like prefolds for maximum absorbency if we're going out and about, but I also like using the Peapods hemp to boost a FB microfibre.

I quite like a prefold, but only at home as they are bulky. I also cant get them to fit into my large FBs easily (too short), but ok in a petite.
I like simple, so just the normal microfibre inserts that came with my FBs are my favourite.

baysmum it will depend on what your preference is for and wether the nappies you buy come with inserts or not. for instance the ecobubs come with inserts included in the price but they dont have a separate price for the nappies without the inserts.

I mostly buy Tweedles but am starting to buy baby harmony. Iv got both microfibre inserts (that you fold into 3) and the hemp/microfibre inserts from tweedles and have just ordered 6 hemp Fleece Doublers from baby harmony. I have asked this question before but stupid me didnt write down the answers and i cant find the thread (nor can i remember!!) so im not sure about whats the best to get and which ones to use together etc....

That's good to know as i just bought some off FionaS!
I quite like my peapod insert, don't really like the rest of the nappy and my flat nappies as inserts or as nappies!

   Hi Baysmum,
The most versatile combination of inserts I've found is a three layered microfibre and a hemp booster or fleece doubler. This makes for excellent absorbency time wise and also isn't too bulky. Depending on the time of day & baby's wetting amount, this combination can last up 3-4hrs.The hemp inserts are great to have also when you start to need more absorbency for nighttime nappies and you can just add more hemp boosters/doublers as required.

What a great thread! I like the combination of hemp & microfleece. I prefer seperate inserts so I can mix & match to whatever I need. My favourite would be a 3-layer mf with a hemp booster underneath.
