Topic: Oh no Posted: 22 February 2007 at 7:36am |
I thought something wasn't quite right yesterday and now I know. We're all sick! Krystiana's only slightly stuffy but Bria has a runny nose and has been tired and acting up, Hannah has been complaining of a sore throat, also has the same symptoms as Briona, and started vomitting a small amount of bile last night/this morning x2... DH and I have sore ears, throbbing all-day headaches, and generally not feeling great. He wasn't sick enough to stay home today so he's at work.... man I wish mums could take sick leave!
(And do kids usually vomit when they have a cold or have I got two bugs on my hands? )

sounds like it's a bug - my kids never vomit with a cold - BUT in saying that, i could imagine a build up of mucus could cause vomiting - but honestly sounds more like the flu or somethiing like that.
and we need sick leave I reckon!!!

Oh no Teresa, I hope it goes quickly for you!
Definitely second Bombshell's advice, call in the reinforcements if you can!
R.e. vomiting, I know a few people who vomit from flu symptoms. Something about the fuzzy head/blocked nose/mucous running into tummy combination makes them nauseous.
Hope you all get better soon!

Sounds like my household at the moment. Kobe throws up when he has a cold if he is coughing mainly.
Hope you all get over it soon.

We had small chucking doses at 4.30am and 6.30am and no more since. Granted I gave her some medicine after the 6.30 one (as I crawled back to bed) and she still looks pale, but I'm guessing it was the mucous build-up then.
I'm never quite sure who to call when we get sick... after all I don't exactly want to spread it around
And I managed to get back to bed for 2 hours this morning Still heady but that's gonna make my day far more manageable.

Oh Teresa - that's awful! You poor thing, it's miserable enough being sick but even worse when you've got sick littlies to look after at the same time... far out.

Eek - hope the girls are doing a little better now, and that you can get some more rest!
Maya always chucks when she has a cold, I think it is the mucous, but then she also makes herself vomit when she is upset so maybe she just has a weak tummy? Which is strange coz she never spilled as a baby.

Well I think this morning must have been the worst of it. Hannah is not complaining of feeling sick any more but she is still nasal when she talks. Both she and Briona are actually *playing* together instead of fighting (I'm sure it takes more energy to fight!!) and my head has cleared. Quick over-and-done-with-it bugs are the best kind!
