It'll be a good challenge though nikkiwhyte.
I'm hanging around for 4 o'clock when I can go home for the day. 81 mins to go
DH and I have a date night tonight so I can't wait to get home and go out. Dying for a piece of chocolate brownie.

Ohhh but at least you get to enjoy the sunshine!! I'm sitting here at my desk, in the air conditioned office (set quite low) browsing OB and fitting work in between pages so that it lasts me all day...but then again I'm having an odd day cos I want 5pm to roll around so we can sign the agreement to buy our first house, that's making up for everything else Then at 6pm I'm getting a whole new look at the hairdresser, so that is also making today go really well....it's a good day!!!

Fantastically excited and nervous LOL It's a gorgeous little 2 bedroom plus conservatory, on a small section (450m2), with a single garage. Originally 1930s, but has been upgraded over time, with aluminium windows and very well maintained. Even has the original refurbished full size coal range in the dining room!!! Not working of course, just for decor reasons, but it's gorgeous. If you want to have a look, PM me and I'll give you a link to the photos hehe
We kind of reconsidered what we wanted - it's the perfect starter home for us, it's big enough that we could still have a child there, we could put in a larger garage when necessary (we don't NEED it right at the moment) and yeah - it's gorgeously cute LOL

It sounds lovely. DH and I were living in a little 1920's 2 bedroom cottage before the house we're in now and it was just so cute. I loved it. It's blue and so cute.
So when will settlement be?

So have you made a mental list of all the things that you want to buy for your new house yet? I'm a shocker for doing this and it drives DH insane.
Do you keep looking at the photos over and over again?

Settlement will be either Easter weekend or Anzac weekend - the only weekends we have free until May!!!
I so want to get rid of the pink trim on the outside though - I'm just not a pink person!!!

And not so much what we want/need to buy - there isn't much we need!! We want to make a couple of changes though - put a french door through from the master bedroom to the conservatory, so basically it's an office or nursery attached to the master bedroom (there'll be 2 entrances), and at some stage in the long long term future change the kitchen/bathroom/laundry around, so the kitchen/dining is more open (dining is pretty tiny), there's a separate toilet and the laundry won't be bigger than the bathroom, like it is now.
And yep I definitely keep looking at the photos!!!

It's lovely. I like those old cottages, the layouts are so interesting and the way they used to build them. And with bugger all technology too.
The plans you have to make some changes sound really good. I like the idea of the nursery off that main bedroom.
Good luck tonight!!

Sally - yep it is in NP, DP would never live anywhere else LOL it's funny, I've done thousands of conveyancing transactions and laughed (not in a mean way, but because it's cute to see them so excited and jittery) at first home buyers....I will never do that again!! They say that buying a house is one of the most stressful times in your life, and so far I would agree. I've found myself dreaming or waking up in the middle of the night thinking about various aspects of it all LOL

Im wondering if 5pm will ever come so i can go home from work and relax, there is only so much going online and doing other stuff you can do at work before it gets boring.
