A friend is 20 weeks pregnant with her 2nd baby and it has been discovered that her babies diaphram (spl?) hasn't closed. The doctor has said it is the largest hole he has ever seen and the babies lungs are growing outside the body My friend lives in a small town and word has obviously got around quick and when she was in town the other day a silly woman said to her "Are you STILL pregnant?" (as though she should had terminated). My friend now doesn't want to go anywhere as she hates these types of comments and is struggling to cope with things. She's decided to carry on with the pregnancy as once the baby is born there is a chance of being able to operate and save the baby.
Why do such awful things have to happen to such lovely people??? Life's just not fair sometimes!!!!

Thats terrible isnt it. Its not fair at all.
I know some people that dont deserve children and they just dont care and they drink, smoke and take drugs the whole time and their kids come out fine.
Im not saying these people should have something wrong with their babies, i just mean that they dont deserve to have them in the first place!

Your poor friend, not only does she have to come to terms with something so upsetting and aweful as that, she also has to deal with such unthoughtful comments.
I agree - life just isn't fair sometimes!! Hopefully they will be able to do something for the poor wee thing once its born.

It must feel terrible to know that something is wrong with the baby you're carrying . I hope the baby has a successful operation when they are born as they obviously have a mummy who loves them enough to give them a chance.

Wow that is just so heartbreaking.
She is such a brave person to carry her baby, but an awesome mummy for giving the baby hope.
