Um, henna is really bad for you while you're pregnant. Its funny because even tho they say it's really good luck to apply it during the 8th month, I wouldnt do it. Theres soooo many risks to yourself and the baby!
if you've had regular henna applications previous to being pregnant, then any intollerance would have already come out (no extra allergy risks) but if not, I wouldnt go there. For gods sake dont get the black one applied if you go ahead with it - its got para-phenylendiamine (PPD) in it which makes you all rashy and blistery and horrid.

   What exactly is Henna..?
I love the look of Henna and have been playing around with a few henna inspired designs... could you use face paint on the belly... or is there some significance behind the inks.... excuse my ignorance.

I love painted bellys, I was so excited when a friend asked me to paint hers in a couple of weeks. If I am ever pregnant again I am so finding someone to paint my belly... sorry slightly off topic.

Natural henna is safe during pregnancy - its the black henna that's had chemicals added to it that isn't safe.

I think it's a cool idea the decorated belly, how come you're doing it out of curiosity?
I want to decorate my belly next time just to be different! |

Sorry, didnt see this until now.
I think it will be a nice way of celebrating my beautiful bump and growing baby. Did it with DD (and a belly cast too). This way I can share it with friends at my baby shower I've found someone who does it and booked - cant wait!
