Have you done an internet search? Try fuzzi bunz Natural parenting   Dulce and Zoet or have a look on the nappy network and search for slings in the forum as there is a lot of discussion about them there Hope that helps

Weird, I never knew that.. I used one with Ella from when she was about 4 weeks old. She wasn't 5 kgs for a while, she's only 10kg now @ almost 2!

I brought a sling from baby factory, but Rhiannon just gets so lost in it, so i am looking for a front pack, i have found an old style one on trademe for $5 so i am trying for that, and if it doesnt work it doesnt matter as it didnt cost much.

We've just got a NaturesSway sling. Got it through a friend who preferred her frontpack. Its a pouch style sling, so you have the main pouch bit that baby lies or sits in, then a padded adjustable strap. I had Ella in it yesterday, sitting on my hip. I can adjust it right up high too so hopefully can use it for hands-free breastfeeding when the time comes.

I was talking to a woman at the zoo this morning who had a brilliant sling. She was carrying her new baby in it but also said that she had used it for her older girl til she was TWO! She got it from the La Leche League in Auckland for $30...
Or try http://www.dulceandzoet.co.nz

I've got a comfy cruiser front pack which I bought from Nappies Direct for about $40. It says the minimum weight is 3.5kgs. I think they sell them at the Baby Factory too.

We used the Naturessway sling from birth and it was great. We also had the hammock and that was absolutely awesome as well (both were a present from work when I left to go on maternity leave).
