you can either mash garlic into the butter or just rub garlic straight onto toasted bits of french bread.

Yes, mix some crushed/chopped garlic with some softened butter. I usually also add some chopped fresh parsley, mostly because it looks pretty!

And using pita breads are good for pizza bases and are yummy with a bit of garlic butter on them baked in the oven and they have wholemeal ones as well.

I used to use marg, fresh parsley and crushed garlic. Now I prefer to roast a garlic cut in half, then rub onto toasted and buttered bread.

My mum makes these yummy garlic bread things, I think she puts garlic in some oil or butter and puts it on these little bread things then toasts them in the oven and they are SOOOO yumm.

But for plain garlic butter id say you just add the garlic and herbs to plain butter?

Well B has even gone and made the pizza dough base!!!

I must admit inspite of the strict diet instructions from the exercise nazi diet witch I'm kinda enjoying this healthy eating thing...even if sugar is now a banned word in this house!

Disclaimer: ok I know I called her the exercise nazi diet witch but I actually do love her to pieces!! She does rock more than my last personal trainer!!

do what Aimee said -roast a bulb of garlic, then squeeze onto toast - it is beautiful AND healthy (although I add a wee bit of butter too)
