Topic: Where to buy nice warm jackets for girls? Posted: 04 June 2007 at 3:58pm |
I'm trying to find a nice warm jacket for Ashleigh but I can't seem to find one anywhere!!! I have seen a few zip up microfleece ones but I want a proper padded warm one. Anyone seen any around? She is size 0 or 6-9mths. I have looked in Pumpkin Patch, JK, Farmers, Warehouse but can only find what I want in size 1 or up

I put Maya in sz1 from about 7 mths or so with the sleeves rolled up coz I couldn't find any that were really snuggly in smaller sizes.
The gremlins have the jacket that is on the front of the latest Little Treasures and it is pretty warm, fully lined etc.

Maybe just get a size one? She'll grow into it, and you can use it all year (well we do).. the ones that have quilting inside them are very warm, and are windproof.

I might have one I could offer you Kelly, but I will just double check the size on Erin, I'm pretty sure it is a tight fit on her. It's purple and that suede type material, with fluffy trim around the neck and wrists, with a little bit of embroidery. Got it second hand but it still looks in reasonable condition, so would have plenty of wear in it yet.

Thanks Jax!
I thought about getting her size 1 but she is kind of in between 00 and 0 so a size 1 would swim on her! And I have been keeping an eye on trade Me - I have a couple on my watchlist!!

Kathmandu only have kiddie jackets from size 7 I think. i was looking for one for Jake. they have polarfleeces but not waterproof, thick jackets. I got Jake's from Farmers but it is a size four - Taine has one from Japan so we never really looked for him.

syupid people at petone told me they didn't stock small sizes! Obviously don't know what they are talking about! If you want a Kathmandu, wait til they have a sale - they are a bit like Briscoes with their prices.

In July last year I bought Josiah a lovely warm winter jacket from Farmers in size 0. I know you said you've looked there, but they might not have the winter stock in properly yet. The school holidays are the first 2 weeks in July, so the shops should have their winter selection in store by then.
