My dad has about $120 000 in bonus bonds and he wins all the time. In fact he complains if he only wins little amounts now! I think the secret to it is to have a decent amount invested in them, if you only have a few hundred then you are unlikely to win. The other advantage is if you take your winnings as more bonus bonds you arent paying tax on your "interest" like you would at a bank etc
