We will be putting ours up on the 8th December, I got some cheap flights for MIL to come down from Auckland for the weekend and this will be the 1st time she is down here close to xmas so we will be having a mini xmas day also. The girls also have their kindy christmas concert on that day so it worked out really well. Starting to really look forward to it |

play pens are great for putting the tree in - also if you have a heater guard. We always put our presents under the trees but don't now - for obvious reasons. Jake, Taine and I make xmas cookies for th tree - last year about two days after making and hanging them, ther were numerous strings on the tree - sans cookies. Ahhh, love xmas. According to Jake santa is coming with a princess for him??

Duh, too obvious. We've just bought a playpen, though I guess that means we won't be using it for it's intended purpose, however you may have just reminded me of another possible solution. Hmmm, our tree is huge so I'm not sure it would fit inside the playpen.
I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year. It will be so different with a small child.

1st weekend in December for us.
But if you like Christmas so much, I can't see the harm in putting it up earlier |

Yup, thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday in November so officially the 22nd this year although our family celebrates it on the 25th. I can't wait! Any reason to have roast turkey is a good one |

i will get a piccie of tash infront of our tree too if anyone wants. i should really send some pics off to my nanna and poppa in oz...
last year we put our fire guard around the tree and it fitted perfectly. this year we have nothing to put around it and the cats think its their own personal toy.
