I've been trying for quite a while but I've never had this happen before.
I had EWCM and a high soft cervix on days 13 and 14 and a positive OPK on day 15 but my temp never really rose like it normally does after ov. Then on day 18 I had EWCM again. Its now day 19 and my temp still hasn't risen. I hate it when my cycle does confusing things. What do you guys think, have I ov'd yet?

Is OPK an ovulation prediction test? If so it shouldn't be positive unless there is FSH present which would indicate that you did ovulate - so why no temp rise?

i think Woman can have what they call a anovulatory cycle. A cycle where they dont ovulate, your body can gear itself up to ovulate (hence the positive OPK) but then doesnt do it, i would keep testing with the OPKs though coz sometimes it will try again a within a few days i think it is. Good luck hun!
Dont take my word for this though it could be just hearsay.

Vanillabean- nice to see you again I agree with Jess- OPK's aren't hard and fast indicators so I would def go with the temp rise over 3 days before I even considered I was past my fertile period. Till then keep BD'ing, baby! |

There are a number of reasons you can get a +OPK with no temp rise,
1) PCOS
 2) stress, ie, you gear up to ovulate and something physical, menatl emotional means now's not a good time so you don't ovulate and it happens later, this can be confusing as you often get a slight dry-up then EWCM later.
 3) a delayed rise, I often get this ie 2 or more +OPK in a row, all of the same darkness with a temp rise a few days later. Your body is trying hard to ovulate but it taakes a while, I have ovulated 5 days after my first +OPK, 2 days after the last one showed +.

 good luck.

Thanks everyone. Was going to the doctor on Monday so got a blood test to check my progesterone level to see if I ovulated. Ended up with a score of 20 which indicates ovulation has occurred, just not sure when exactly. If I o'd on day 15 then my period was due today, have had a few cramps but no bleeding yet.
(Also got an hcg test on Monday and at that time it was neg)

VB I had issues with OPK's as well. Except I had the other problem though, always showed a negative test even when ov was confirmed. So I primarily relied on my temps to confirm Ov had happened.
Good luck hun. Ive got my fingers crossed for you |
