Currently having buyers remorse It is a new bridal shop and have a feeling at that price it is made at a sweat shop in Asia (or somewhere equally as dodgy). Workmanship could be dodgy too...eek!

OMG that dress is seriously gorgeous!!!!!!!
don't worry about the quality, i'm sure it will be fine. there are a few 'importers' of wedding dresses now, my friend got one off a TM store brand new for $300 and it was very well made
can you return it if you don't like it or it doesn't fit?

Yay, Topsy, gorgeous dress and wow what a great price! I love weddings (although they make me cry, I can't even watch my own wedding DVD without bawling), you MUST show us pics of the big day

Well it seems like I really jumped the gun as after doing a budget for a cheap wedding it seems that we cant even afford that. I will have to sell the dress as soon as I get it (after trying it on once of course! ) Looks like we will have to get married at the registry office How romantic
Hopefully we win the trip to Samoa cos we could get hitched over there! Fingers crossed

Oh Topsy I'm sure you can sort something out.
What about getting married at a park or on the beach with a small dinner for close family & friends at a restaurant?? There ARE ways to keep the cost right down.

You could still wear the dress at a registry office wedding...

My mum got married in a wedding dress at a registry office then they headed to the pub.
We had a celebrant come along to our sons 1st birthday and we got married then and there. Surprised most guests

Yah there are other ways of getting a low cost wedding. May be the talented people here could do stuff for you (eg cake, decor etc).
Well I could help with the decor if you know what you want. And Janine makes beautiful Cakes
I hope you do get a nice wedding!!

it's not about the budget, it's about the people. who you share the day with and most importantly, you and DF.....as emma said, you can still wear the dress at a registry office
friends of DH's got married on a river's edge and it was beautiful. they had made the isle from rocks and had wild flower arrangements everywhere. it was all very romantic
