   Hi,
I am wanting to birth at Birthcare Parnell and wondered if anyone has any feed back on the midwives or a specific midwife that they have gone with who currently practices and delivers at birthcare. I loved my experience there last time however my previous midwife is no longer practicing.

I used the actual Birthcare team midwives, they were great    When I had Floyd they were a team of 4, but now due to demand they have two teams of 3.  You see a different midwife each visit but it means you get to know all of them well so you dont end up with a backup midwife at the last minute if that makes sense.  Also if you use them you get a single room for free after bubs is born.

I second everything about the Birthcare team midwives -- they are marvellous. I had Megan for the actual birth, and she was wonderful -- it was my first, and she was so calming and also funny throughout (which I respond really well to). And also -- the follow up care after the birth has been really good compared to what my sister experienced with her independent midwife -- they call and come by all the time. I would definitely recommend them.

I agree with everything above - the midwives there are totally awesome and I plan to go back when we have no.2 - you know, later! I had Abby for the birth, but they were all great. I really liked it that no matter what, I would have someone I knew quite well in the birth with me. They were also awesome post birth too - turned up when they said they would, made sure my referral to Plunket went through etc. All great!
