When did they return to normal, or have some kind of consistency at least??
I got AF back for the first time in October and have only had two more since, my first cycle was 45 days, second 82, I'm now at 70 days and counting.
I know its different for everyone, but some idea of when AF is due would be nice |

I'm really interested in the answers too... I got mine back a few months ago, nothing since - I kind of assume my body just isn't playing ball again (I'd have super-ridiculously long cycles before Jacob) but would very much *like* to hear that that's normal |

I thought i was UTD again last month as i got AF back when DD was 6months old (jan) had a light short AF. Then AF in Feb exactly 28 days after Jan AF. Seemed Back to normal AF. Then 28 days later March AF Normal. April NOTHING !!! I was freaking out. Day 40 it finally arrived very late and lasted longer than usual.
BUT i think it is realatively normal for AFS to be all over the show post baby/pregnancy and i have been told that Breast Feeding can make AF very unsettled. So not too concerned really. I had been feed DD more in April as she had been sick and off solids so the amount you feed may contribute to Ov and AF discrepencies??

I got mine back last Nov when I finished bfing Ben (he was 16mths). I think it was about 28days after the last feed that AF came back, then msut have been another 28 and then a 24 day cycle then I got pg. But after Jack they came back and were a regular 28 days once I finished bfing.

Interesting thread! I got AF back a few months ago as DS was sleeping through the night. I have been wondering whether my BFing him more (ie a dream feed) will change my cycle. So far so good as its been regular like clockwork, and we are hoping to start TTC for #2 soon so here's hoping its all good.

Hmmm - you can discount my previous comment, I worked out why my body didn't appear to be playing ball |

Haha congrats Hopes! My cycles have always been very regular and predictable. I've had 2 since having Lily and yeah, last one was almost a year ago now! It's nice not having to worry about it and I sometimes *feel* like my body is doing something monthly in terms of cramps but just no AF with it! I am on depo though so guess that affects it all but once it wears out in 2 months I won't be going on it and I'll just sorta see what my body is doing/does...

Mine started again when my son was 11 months, and I was almost still fully breastfeeding at that stage. They were basically regular but not so much as they used to be. I used to have 28 day cycles but post-baby, it was 31-35 days, up until I got pregnant again a few months after my son turned 2. I've read 13 months is average if you're breastfeeding.

My first couple after Lewie were long 60 plus I think. And I got af back when he was. 10 months I think. I have noticed that when he feeds a lot or just more frequently it seems to delay ovulaution, once by three weeks or so.   So most of the time my cycles are 40 days plus sometimes more.
Maybe tmi but have you tried usi g your cm as a guide, works very well for me.

Thanks Pudgy, I guess it is because Cooper is still feeding so frequently. My CM is always all over the show, but have started keeping track of my cervix position etc, so hopefully that gives me some insight.

Woohoo congrats Hopes, cool news I got AF back 3.5mths after DS was born, was still exclusively BFing (a couple of times over night too!) and it has been bang-on regular, give or take a couple of days, ever since... Endo symptoms greatly reduced too, which I am oh so happy about though I am dreading when they come back

For me AF returned when DS was 3 months even though he feeds on demand. After that my cycles have been all over the show...
 length in days: 30, 36, 40, 29, 19, 39, 66
That last one was a killer with trying to get UTD!!
Angie that is great that your endo symptoms are heaps better!!
