I read somewhere recently that you shouldn't be taking antihistamines when TTC.
Does this apply to the man as well?
My husband has really bad eczema so is taking them all the time.

i'm torn between going with my normal worry wart way of doing things, or trying to be brave and not stress - and everyone has such different opinions on what's allowed and not, esp when you are actually up the duff. guess i will cross that bridge when it comes to it |

Yep, natural therapies all say that antihistamines do affect the sperm so need to try and avoid if possible. Does he know what causes his eczema? There are creams and herbs and diets that should help him to reduce the symptoms so that maybe he could take less antihistamines? Any over the counter medication is not good for TTC, even nurofen and stuff like that.
It's scary how ANYONE gets pregnant when you read all the things that affect the egg and the sperm and the egcm and your hormones and everything else.....I've been reading a lot on this, listening to lots of podcasts from naturopaths, fertility specialists, herbalists....so have definitely heard about antihistamines, but as you say, you can go a bit ott with trying to cut out absolutely everything....I'd start looking at the bigger picture first, medical history, your diet and exercise, chemicals in yoru life (cleaning products/at work etc)....and then go deeper and look at medication and things like that if still no luck in TTC.

 good luck!

He has plenty of creams that all seem to do nothing. And refuses to try a lactose free diet!
Grr so stubborn!
