somewhere of stuff to remember to take when you go away with a little one? If not can we please start one. I am off to mum and dads with Alex for our first holiday away from home and am starting to wonder what on earth I need to remember to take with me.

   When are you going?
If not for a few days or more then try this:

Each night (or as you go during the day) make a list of what you have used that day.

And do the same again the next day. Try this for a few days or so...

Then when you pack you will have an idea of what quantity to take with you. Even if you pack something for each day seperately into a plastic bag.

Then on top of that, take anything extra you think you 'may' need ie pamol etc

I haven't tried this, but hadn't really thought ahead what we'd ever need with the babies; I just packed lol

But I hope this might help you :)

Heh, I read that list you wrote Emz and thought 'Woah, that's a huge list' and then I read through it properly and realised that it's so true!   Everything on that list I would take away with me.

When you pack for a baby or toddler even for a night it looks like you're going away for a week, lol! |

As per Emz list, but I would add: Bottle steriliser (we have a microwave one) Bath toys & non slip bath mat Playmat or similar for on the floor We went away for the first time to the ILs when Oli was about the same age as Alex, and we also took his bouncy chair (rocker) and his safety sleep.    |

Bedding for bubs is a good idea I have found. We took Blair away for a couple of days for the first time at 6.5 weeks old, and found that having the security of his own bedding was really good. Even the last trip I did away when he was 10 months old I took his bedding still.
