I think I may be pregnant.
This is great news, I have very sore breats just like I did with my last pregnancy.
The thing that is scary is that I had a wee girl 7 weeks ago, sadly she was not strong enough to survive.
I am worried that if I am pregnant my body will reject it because I have not had enough time to heal.
I am also still waiting for my period to come (is this a safe environment for a baby?)
I would really love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

   Hi Maudie,

I am so sorry for your loss. Big
I am sorry but I was never in your situation. But before you start stressing have you done a Pregnancy test to confirm. Could your sore boobs be because of your pending Period? Just wondering!!
Do the test and then if you are pregnant tak to a doc to see what happens from there. Take care hun

Big hugs Maudie, and tentative congrats at the same time.

I fell pregnant with the gremlins not long after I m/c our wee babe, altho mine was an early m/c at 7 weeks. I too worried that it was too soon and my body wasn't ready, but it obviously was coz along came the gremlins.

I'm sure Cuppatea and NZPiper won't mind me mentioning that they both fell preg again very quickly after a m/c and their wee beans are growing nice and strong too.

Pregnancy after loss is a huge rollercoaster, best of luck over the coming months.

Apparently right after a m/c your body is often the most ready. Do a pg test though, sore boobs often come with hormones - the reintroduction of your cycle/period, for example.

As Maya has mentioned I got pg after just having one AF after my m/c although mine was at 6 weeks and I think yours was much later (unless i am confusing you with someone else). Nzpiper got pregnant after a m/c without having an AF, she was still waiting for it to turn up when she realised she was pg.
I don't believe that your body would let you get pg again unless it was safe to do so, nature has a wonderful way of making sure our bodies do what they are suppose to. Also my doc did tell us that we didn't need to wait before trying (although the advice might be different with a later loss).
I would talk to your midwife she will be able to offer loads of advice and support and she might also be able to arrange a pg test for you.

soryr to hear or your loss chick, but as cuppatea says, i don't think your body would allow you to get pg again unless it was ready. best to talk to your doc and see what they say.

My heart goes out to you, I'm so so sorry to hear about your loss.

Although this isn't the same situation but my cousin had a still birth at 32weeks and fell pregnant before having a proper period, I think she had to go under an OB and had to be off work to rest in the early stages because her body was still recovering, she also had to take iron and some other supplements to help keep her strength up. From memory her doc said that the enviroment for the baby is perfect it's just the strain on the mother that can sometimes be a problem.
Anyway her son is now around 3months old and they are both doing really well.
Also my neighbough had a 6week old baby when she fell pregnant again with twins! Everything went fine, a part from now she seems to spend all her time washing massive amounts of nappies!
I hope this is some help, but I agree you should get a pg test just to be sure.

i had a m/c at about 7 weeks and fell pregnant before my next period (within a month) and we have gorgeous little girl!
i believe that your body will do what is right when you a ready (sometimes not what we want) the biggest thing i was worried about was whether i was emotionally ready to be pregnant... mourning a loss and celebrating the new can be tough but talking about it helped me
