Not sure if this is the right forum for this or not - but for those of you have used a Safe T Sleep, did you use it from the moment you brought bubs home from hospital (ie in a basinett) or did you wait until you moved bubs into the cot. I made the basinett up today in preperation for the arrival, but didnt put the Safe T Sleep on yet, as wasnt sure whether it was the right thing to do or not. We plan on wrapping baby too....not sure if that makes any difference.
You won't need it, newborns don't move hardly at all and in a basinette you can tuck them in nice and snuggly plus with the wrapping he/she really won't be able to move
I am the same as you Simsam. I have a safety sleep but havent used it yet. I find that swaddling him and tucking the blankets tightly over him works fine. I have moved him into his cot as he seems happier there than the bassinet (only thing I can think of is that he can see further in the cot and hes a very alert wee thing). I am not sure when I will start with the safty sleep. Maybe when I stop swaddling????
We used the safety sleep from day dot with all three girs, not entirely sure why we bothered, but we didn't have a bassinette so I guess it was to make them seem less tiny in the giant cot and stop them slipping down the cot.
