With all my medical issues of late, I cut coffee completely out of my diet. I wasn't having that much anyway, but half a cup of coffee seemed to tip me over the edge after morning tea each day in terms of nausea etc. Now it turns out it was actually the result of eating crackers.

So now I'm faced with whether to reintroduce coffee or leave it out altogether. As far as I know, it won't make a difference to me medically (obviously I'm not talking about OTT amounts or addictions, just a cup a day). But so many people go on about all the "bads" of coffee that I'm not sure whether I should or not.

I'm not one for teas, btw, and used to like milo but now it looks as though I'll be stuck with hot cocoa instead. What's better: hot cocoa with a generous 3 tsp of sugar, or coffee (with one sugar)?

What's your fave beverage and do you consider it (at least moderately) good for your health?

English Breakfst tea. Have been known to supply my own bags, I hate cheap nasty tea, lol.
I don't consider it bad at all...

I drink loads of water...

However, I LOVE coke zero, and I know its baaaaad.

I see you don't like tea, but have you tried herbal teas. Much nicer. I am not a black tea drinker but will drink fruit/herbal ones.

I am a coke zero drinker, I know it is bad but I love it.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

My drink of choice is chilled water. Boring as all f*ck, but there you go.... refreshing, nice and good for you.

Although, my AFTER work drink of choice is merlot.

Personally, I could go without caffienated drinks without an issue. Mebbe try one of those coffee/chocloate drinks that cost a bomb but taste delicious. Expensive at the outset but tasty and if only having one a day not too taxing on the budget.

I have a mocha (Nescafe Italian Mocha) when I get up, and a soy mocha at morning tea...that's me for the day. I don't think it does me any harm?? The caffeine levels aren't too high I don't think, except maybe in my soy mocha which is from a cafe.

Mocha for me all the way, sometime even two a day. I'm a bad bad girl.

I'm about to go on a severe budget so will be reduced to home mocha's on our expresso machine but I doubt more than one a day of those is any better for me than the cafe one's!

Coffee and Coke Zero. I can only drink the flavoured water.

I don't drink tea either.

Diet coke for me

I know it's bad for me,but I just love it. I don't drink alcohol, or smoke, or do drugs, so I try and rationalise it!!

Fennel Tea is my fav non caffeine 'healthy' drink.

My FAV drink however is a mug of hot milk with a flake/twirl to stir into it.

ETA: sometimes with a bit of an 'After Eight' mixed in

Yummmy - that hot milk with a flake stirred in sounds devine. I'm a tea drinker (gumboot) but have at least one mocha a day.
