Just wondering if anyone has brought anything off trademe to find there was a miss print on the auction?
if so what happened?
I won an auction the said one thing and I was delivered another - I emailed the seller and they asked for the link to this auction and then said it was a miss print. Im just wondering what I should do now? Im still waiting for them to reply (since I sent the link)
My husband did - he got some dvd's and it was supposed to be a box set - so he emailed the lady ... turned out though he was in the wrong ...shame on his undies lol!
but the lady did offer to refund him before they got to the bottom of the story. Hopefully the trader you are dealing with will too ... after all you shouldnt be held responsible for her not checking the ads.
Hasn't happened to me but I'd say it's the sellers responsibility to make sure their ad is correct.. after all, you're just trying to buy what it advertised. I hope they come to the party on this one without too much hassell!
thanks for replying. the auction was from a 'shop' on trademe too so you would think they would know if not read when it finishes what the auction was for!
Ill let you know what she replys tomorrow as she only seems to email in the mornings
Hmm, well I won an auction the other day for cot sheets + pillowcases, later on she e-mailed me saying there weren't any pillowcases with it and offering a refund of $2 per pillowcase, then I went to pick them up and turns out she found the pillowcases in the dryer!!!
A funny story but she did the right thing IF in the end there hadn't been any pillowcases. (Which there were :P)
Kiara is 3 and Teagan is 2, now we're expecting our long awaited 3rd!
mine is for nappies
the auction said 15 nappies with 30x 300ml inserts
but when delivered the nappies were individually packaged with 2 inserts but they were two different sizes. a 300ml one and a smaller size
I mean as I haven't used them before I don't know if I should of said anything
I just feel that it stated one thing in the auction but got delivered something else

Kalimirella - glad they were 'found'
Ahhh sounds like a typo error on their end, especially if they are prepackaged.
I'm not sure what they could do about that though .. I doubt they will go and open up all the packages and take out 30 big inserts for you, are you wanting to return them or to get a discount? That would probably be do able
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

umm mybaby
Im still waiting for a reply from them. they are usually so on to it so this is strange when she replied to my first email she said:
Hi Trish
Can you give me the auction number as this is clearly a mistake.
Cheers
should I just forget it? I really thought I was going to be getting the 30x 300ml inserts

Nope, there may have been an error in the auction BUT you purchased them expecting to get the 30 inserts so she should be providing them for you or refunding some $$ to you..... If you aren't having much luck with them I would contact TM and ask for their help.
so ya got 30 inserts - 15 newborn ones and 15 300ml ones??
Will you not use the newborn ones? if not I think she sells the 300ml inserts separately and would prob just swap them? If it was me and it was a genuine mistake, I had a use for the newborn ones and I hadn't paid extra for them I prob wouldn't worry ... but maybe you really need the bigger ones?
She got in touch and has refunded me a few dollars so Im happy.
she is a lovely person to deal with and she explained that it was a error on there behalf so will make sure to double check auctions in the future
