With the first one my DH said something along the lines of 'Holy Sh*t' - even though we'd been trying for 6 months. It took him about a minute to realise the significance of the 2 lines though.
With the second, DH had just got up to Rowan at 5am and was holding her when I emerged from the loo and asked him if he wanted to 'do it all again?' I'm not sure to this day if he grimaced or smiled (it was planned)

We had been trying for a while, and I bought a first reponse test from the supermarket this time. It was quite a faint second line that came up and I told him straight away... "I think I'm pregnant!" he said... well don't keep you hopes up, (because we had many "I thinks..." in the past and he knew how disappointed I would be if we weren't again. Then early bleeding led to more doubts, and the first scan didn't even show an embryo. So the real joy set in when we heard the heartbeat for the first time, and we both had tears in our eyes! He's going to be a great dad! |

My friend's has an amusing story behind telling her DP .
She told him she thought she was pg , took a test and sure enough , it was, but since she was still getting spotting , she thought she better go to the dr to make sure .
Wellll, yep , she was definetly pregnant , and the dr estimated her to be around 31 weeks ! .
SO she had to go for a scan , where she was told , yep , 31 weeks, with a baby girl .
She (in shock ) text her DP saying
 "definetly pregnant .
 7 months .
 Its a girl "
she heard nothing back from him , then 10 mins later ,his boss called and said "hi , can you come pick your boyfriend up ? he got a text and fainted " |

Bwahahahaha, he fainted? OMG, that is the best story ever lol
Mine was pretty standard, like many TTCers, had a very early morning POAS. 2 very very faint lines so burst into the bedroom, turned on the lights, waking DH up, so he could confirm with his sleepy sleepy eyes lol. He held it under a lamp at all angles and distances then just said (in a gruff, manly voice) "well done lady." The same way a man would say to another man "good on ya mate". Then he asked if he could please go back to sleep now.

Hahaha, fainting. I'm pretty sure he said something like ok then, then perhaps something like See, i knew my sperm were good! I had been testing for a couple days cos I was late and finally got a positive. |

Both times DH has just got this cute wee grin on his face like he was so proud of himself.
I do remember him telling a mate this time around how he must have super sperm because every time I've ovulated he's got me pregnant straight away |

After confirming with bloods I met DH at a nice restaurant and had them deliver the test stick in a nicely packaged box on a platter.
He started crying (we'd been TTC for 2 years and had given up)

He still has the stick. Which I think is weird cause I peed on it but my fault for delivering it to him in a restaurant I guess.

DH was asleep when I poas, but when I woke him he was like 'cool, now we just need a blood test aye?' and then promptly rolled over and went back to sleep.
A couple of hours later he was so excited - he wanted to ring the world. Then he calmed down a little and said 'so what happened to all my practise?'
