What is everyone's opinion on raspberry leaf tablets or raspberry leaf tea in last trimester (36 weeks onwards I think is the recomendation?)
Do they actually have an effect?

I never took it because I couldn't be bothered and it tasted nasty and Daniel came a week early anyway. I used naturopharm prebirth spray instead. I like their products so went with that.

I drank Rasberry Leaf tea. Michaela was born at 39w2d gest.
I don't know if drinking the T is why Michaela came early or not - maybe she would have come early anyway or maybe it was the other things I did.

There's no harm in drinking it so if you like the taste go for it.

I drunk it with Josh and he came a week early but that was medical intervention. I think the EPO helped more. |

I love raspberry leaf tea, I drink it at a certain time each month, it was hard for me not to drink until the end of my pregnancy, I was over due but had an easy birth, I think its just a matter of opinion, , but it can't do any damage late on... |

I drank a cup every day in later pregnancy (I liked it!) and had bubs 5 days early. Labour was quick too. Don't know if that's why, but I'll drink it again next time around just in case.

I took 5W tablets with raspberry leaf in and the prebirth spray and was induced at 9 days overdue...
But I do think that everyone might be different and so it is worth a try...

I drank 3 cups a day and 4 EPO capsules daily, too.
Hannah came a day early and quickly, so I believe they helped.
But then, I'll never know |

Im currentley drinking around 5 cups a day of the Red Seal raspberry leaf tea and I bought the tablets and use a hole pot, they went so quickley as you have to take 3 at a time 4-5 times a day,I find Im having lots of Braxtons, Ive heard that drinking it helps thats why I am.Dont know if it makes you go early but because it helps ripen the cervix I think it cn make your labour shorter |

   Thanks.
I have only read that it makes your uterus stronger and then the contractions more purposeful (hence shorter labour) not that it makes baby arrive early?

Yeah I'm with Gill, I was told it makes the uterus more "efficient" rather than actually bringing on labour...

I took 5W tablets (contain raspberry leaf tea) and Caleb arrived after an hours labour. My uterus was certainly efficient but its hard to know whether that was a result of the 5W tablets.
