So aaaages ago I was writing about how hard I was finding it to keep the house clean, work fulltime and have time with the family. Anyway, I discovered this site that I thought i would share with you, in case anyone was feeling as lost and helpless about it all, as i was.

www.flylady.net.

Basically I have been on the baby steps course for a week and found it brilliant - bare in mind I started this after the school holidays started, so I have had a lot more spare time than I would usually have. It is all about creating a routine that means you do a little bit often, rather than my usual - leave everything until the weekend and spend all my time off cleaning.

The only bad point is if you sign up for the emails, you get like 10-12 A DAY. some of them are pretty good to read through actually, but the majority I delete.

Anyway, hope this helps someone else out.

Yeah I did this for a while, I got annoyed with the volume of e-mails though.

I still try to do a couple of the things though, like the 15 min timer and leaving the sink clean

I'm with Nikki....maid needed!

Although the other night when I went to bed, I had three slaves working the dishwasher, the washing machine & the breadmaker

Will look at the site. Ihave used the speed cleaning book where each room is allocated a day.

Lizzle, you could just invite MIL over

Looks like a good website...I think I might have to try it out for myself, I can be super good at keeping things under control but then it can all go to pieces and the house will be a disaster!! I like the 15 minute idea.
