Topic: please help! lost goldie in auckland! Posted: 28 June 2007 at 4:31pm |
hey auckland ladies,
can everyone please keep their eyes open for noelle, a lovely golden retriever who has unfortunately been roaming for a month now! she was wearing a black collar with a purple lead, but this is now down to half a lead, covered in dirt.
the last sighting was at 10.30pm monday night near some cricket practice nets in conifer grove takanini (Auckland) which is not far from the motorway where she was spotted in the morning.
more info and pics can be found on the trademe website and pets on the net, links below
if anyone sees her or any goldie that could be her, please call maryanne at the golden retriever rescue (09) 575 9230 or 021 570 893 or Yvonne 021 483 778

she is very timid and won't bite. like most goldies, she's food driven so may come to you with a bit of something tasty. also the fact she's been out alone for almost a month must make her pretty darn hungry!

oh no if she is down by the nets that means she is roaming around the mud flats....when we lived there we had a few dogs roam down there lost for a while....the motorway cuts them off....I would contact the council whh mow the grass etc there and get them to keep eye out and put sign up in the dairy etc in conifer!!!

no not my dog, he's safely tucked up at my feet as we speak...thank god!!
i belong to a nzgoldens forum as well and that's where i heard of noelle. just wanted to get as many people aware of her as i can and hopefully someone will be able to return her to her home.
noelle was rehomed but got out that same day and has been lost for almost a month now. she has been sighted alot but no one has caught her. i just feel so sad knowing she is wandering around by herself, lost and lonely. she must be so scared and hungry by now!

It's a long shot, but we walk our two every day at the Botanic Gardens/Totara park, so I'll let everyone know to keep an eye out for her. I might actually print off some flyers to hand out as a lot of people we know/meet dog walking here are from that area.
