Why are we, as taxpayers, and the Government funding a movie against Michael Cullen and the IRD? Does that sound bizzare to anyone else? It seems that it will portray the life of a tax evader (which will surely encourage more and provide "tips" to some extent), vs the IRD/Government/Michael Cullen..... this seems like such a stupid idea!
After seeing a really good interview with the guy, I think it is ironic the Government is partially funding the film, but it is a good story. For the record, he was never charged with tax evasion and was eventially independantly proven to have done nothing wrong in his dealings with the IRD.
